The ground on which Prague sits today has been settled upon since the 5th century BC. Every street and building remind you of this fact- the city has a distinct settled in quality, the culmination of all the eras it has witnessed. The food is delicious (not to mention ridiculously cheap), and the local monastic beer is perfectly bitter.
